Katie Goldsbury, LMT, CEIM
I am a licensed massage therapist certified in prenatal and postpartum bodywork and a certified educator of infant massage. I am a member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA), graduate of the Cortiva Institute-Muscular Therapy Institute in Watertown, MA and hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Business Administration from St. Michael’s College in Vermont. From 2007-2012 I led the massage team at Isis Parenting, working primarily with expecting and new moms. In 2013 I began a mobile massage practice while also working at Newton Whole Health, Chiropractic and Massage and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. Today I own and manage HealThy Self Whole Body Wellness, a private practice offering therapeutic massage within Myotech Combined Therapies and am pursuing a graduate degree in Human Nutrition & Functional Medicine.
In my practice I blend various modalities including neuromuscular, myofascial, sports massage, active isolated stretching, Swedish, and deep tissue for a therapeutic massage that is specific to each client’s individual needs. I believe in a holistic approach to health that includes massage as a means to achieve deeper relaxation, decreased muscle tension, relief from chronic pain and injury, and improvement in overall health and wellbeing. My goal is to provide the highest quality massage that addresses all systems of the body, including the nervous, muscular, circulatory, fascia and lymphatic, in order to exceed the expectations of clients and maximize the benefit of massage.
